1/24 scale detailed undercarraige for the Captain Cardboard X-Wing kit.
It was decided, with the client's agreement, that the emphasis of this custom build was to attain a detailed, realistic appearance as opposed to a strict adherence to replicating the looks of the actual prop. So, the engine bay openings were made smaller, and plenty on detail was added to suggest that there is indeed an engine in there. The gears were made to look detailed and interesting in appearance, especially given the large scale of the kit instead of being exactly like the real prop. The struts were made of metal to support the substantial weight of the model.
